Portable Anchor Systems
This course is 3 days in
length designed for experienced rope rescue practitioners and
instructors. The focus is on those physical concepts needed to
engineer and operated portable anchors such as the Vortex, TerrAdaptor,
and other manufactured potable anchor systems. Additional subjects
in this course is the rescue rigging use of heavy timbers, aerial
ladders, and cranes.
Team-based Rope Rescue - Team approach of NFPA 1670 operations support
of a technical rescue
Team-based Rope Rescue is
an entry level course 4 days in length. Addressed is knot craft,
anchor concepts, mainline/belay line rigging and operation, haul
systems, edge management, steep angle, and high angle rescue.
NFPA 1670, 1006 Rope Technician
This is a 5 day cour.se;
prerequisite of completing the Team-based Rope Rescue course, or
equivalent. This course covers material required in NFPA 1670 and
1006 for technical rope rescue and rope rescue technicians.
Included is; basic force multipliers; advanced concepts for anchor
building, mechanical advantage, horizontal systems; and extreme vertical
rescues.
Confined Space Rescue
This is a 4 day course;
prerequisite of completing the NFPA 1670, 1006 Rope Technician course.
Covered is those skills needed to perform IDLH rescue entries and
extrications from confined spaces.
Structural Steel Rescue
This
is an advanced rope rescue course; prerequisite of completing the NFPA
1670, 1006 Rope Technician course. This course covers material and
skills needed to perform rescues from steel structures, including
towers, and bridges.
