Team-based Rope Rescue

This 4 day Seminar is intended for rescue personnel wanting to obtain training that meets the requirements of NFPA 1670 operations rope skills. 

This is an extremely efficient method to learn team skills of rope rescue.

Basic introduction of NFPA 1670 and NFPA 1006 and their importance to technical rescue in today's modern fire service. 

 

In-depth introduction to hardware, and software as it applies to modern rope rescue.

Basic knot and anchor considerations that are the foundation to rope rescue. 

Construction and operation of the belay system and lowering system for the mainline. 

Construction and operation of raising systems that will include simple, compound, and complex pulley systems.  

Rappelling, and ascending a fixed rope, and self-rescue.

 

Team-base rescue; the operational support of a technical rescue.
